Babies through 3 years

This program is designed for babies through three years of age with their caregiver. It is a twenty to thirty minute class of songs, rhymes and reading specifically targeted to this age group. Play time is offered directly after the class to encourage socialization skills. For more information call 270-384-2472.

Mondays @ 10:00 a.m.

Ages 3 - 6

Preschool Story Hour is designed for children between the ages of 3-6 years of age to begin to prepare them for Preschool and Kindergarten. The first 30 minutes is spent as a group in the Reading Room where we read, discuss the books, sing songs and often incorporate simple math and science information through rhymes, games and activities. The last 30 minutes we move into the Juvenile Library for a project that helps develop small motor skills as well as following direction. At the end of our time together children have the chance to check out books. Please check our events calendar to determine that we will be having class. There are times of the year that we do not have programming. All such days will reflect in our calender.

Wednesday @ 10:00 a.m.

Out and About

On Tuesdays the Children's Librarian will be out in the community visiting Preschools, Headstart and Daycares. Unfortunately at this time her schedule is full. If you would like to speak with her to request a one time visit for your students please contact Aleina Milligan at 270-384-2472.

Summer Reading Program

Fun for all ages!

We offer fun, educational programs during the summer to encourage and help students maintain their reading level. It is our hope that our Summer Reading Participants go back to school in the fall stronger readers than when they left.
