Life on the Ridge
Life on the Ridge may have been peaceful, but it wasn't easy. The cabin they built was constructed from the logs of four pioneer cabins. It had to be moved to its current location on Spout Springs Road in Knifley, KY to avoid flooding. Modern conveniences were scarce when Janice first came to the Ridge, their home at the time did not have electricity or running water. Yet, the area became her sanctuary and served as inspiration for many of the details in her books.
